Race for the Cure

This year Dr Delphinium participated in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Oct 18th. There were 30,000 people that participated in the race. It was a lot of fun and great to see people participating in the cure for breast cancer. The Northpark Mall parking lot was full of people and sponsors, which gave away tons of goodies. Emerald City played as we walked through the finish line and it was like a huge celebration.

Dr Delphinium will donate 10.00 for every “Susan” arrangement sold. The Susan is a beautiful pink and white arrangement with roses, hydrangea, spray roses, tropical foliage in a clear glass vase with a pink satin ribbon tied around it. It also comes with a “Running Ribbon” pin. Definitely a must see item.

New Fall Soy Candle Scents

It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Texas. If you are looking for a way to have your home filled with the crisp fragrance of fall, stop by Dr Delphinium and pick up a Jimmy Belasco soy candle. My favorite candle for the fall is the Orange Cranberry. It’s so yummy, it makes me think of leaves turning colors, drinking hot tea, carving pumpkins and eating turkey. You know all those things that remind you of fall.

Jimmy’s candles are made here in Texas and they are made from soy wax, which is even cooler. Soy candles are cleaner burning candles and they burn slower too. A soy candle can burn up to twice as long (sometimes even more!) than paraffin, giving you twice the candle. Not to mention, soybeans are grown in American fields and processed into soy wax in the U.S. as well. Soy candles are good for the environment and our farmers.

The best part of the soy candles is that the scent “throws well,” which means it fills the room with a long lasting scent. Soy wax candles have a great scent throw and they also have a cleaner smell too. Now that you know the benefits of soy candles, it’s time to make a trip to Dr Delphinium.

The Remodeled Rosewood Crescent Hotel

Modern Versailles was the theme for the unveiling of the newly revamped Rosewood Crescent Court Ballrooms. We paired up with Fauxcades and Ducky Bob's to showcase the gorgeous renovations.

Dark Purple Orchid Topiaries, Lush displays of Hydrangea...dripping with Amaranthus, and my favorite touch... over 100 Silver candlesticks highlighting plush chocolate banquettes, all over-the-top opulent elegance.

Color was the main focus in designing this project. Soft hues of Peach, Cream, Blush, and Coral was the first palette displayed in the Grand hallway. Hotter shades of Deep Pink, Orange, and Amber Lit up the Grand ballroom. The Salons were washed in elegant Wedgwood Blue, Gold, and Cream. While the Garden Room and Terrace sported the Tiffany Blue, Chocolate, Black, and Plum.

I wanted the luxurious intensity to be felt through the saturated colors of the florals, of course...accented by the amazing line of luxury linens from Ducky Bob's. Such a fun project, and

Congratulations to the Crescent Hotel for a Remodel well done!!
