Last week, one of our designers, Rick was working hard for Ylang23’s anniversary party. He was working away when I got a call from Laura from Lake Charles, Louisiana. She is the sister of one of the owners of Ylang23, and she wanted to do something special for them. I was thinking along the lines of our awesome floral designs or a custom gourmet basket but she threw me for a loop and said she had written a poem for them! She had a great idea and we both kind of ran with it. Laura and I started brainstorming and she mentioned how she had a pair of earrings that she bought from Joanne when she first opened up a jewelry shop and how different they were back then. We decided to print the poem in a frame and have Rick just do his magic. Boy, did he work it! He got some of our fabulous dried flowers in rich bright colors just like Joanne likes and he color coordinated the flowers with the earrings that Laura sent us. Rick delivered the gift to Joanne and she was so touched, Rick said she almost cried! I sent Laura the picture of what Rick wonderfully created and she let me know that Joanne called her so touched and moved by this gift. It was such a wonderful process and experience working with our amazing customers and also how much trust they have in Dr. Delphinium to be creative and know they are getting perfection every time. Knowing that our customers give us the outlet to be unique, creative, and simply the best is what makes our job here all that much better.
